WOW!!!!
I can't really add anything to what Earl said. But I will just say it was one of the best nights I've ever had. I had bought 8 tickets so that my friends could all go with me, and each one of them told me what an amazing night they had and that the Human League was great. Even my friends who have seen the League live with me several times, we all agreed that this was probably their best show ever that we've seen. Phil's voice was REALLY, REALLY exceptional throughout the entire show and their personalities were just enthralling!!! Earl - I am REALLY hoping that the bowl taped the film they were projecting onto the big screens, and release it, because I really think a DVD of "ABC, PSYCHEDELIC FURS & HUMAN LEAGUE (HOSTED BY JANE WEIDLIN)" would definitely be a hot item!!! I can't think of much more to say, just what a fantastic week this was, with the Jimmy Kimmel show on Thursday night and the show Saturday night, it was awesome. |

I so wish that work wasn't so mad for me at the moment and I could have been there  So glad that you all had such a great time, and thanks db for the marvellous pics and films. This one really captures the fantastic atmosphere. Roll on December!

Sorry if this is a 'duh' question, but why is the band in such a rush at all these dates? I know they're traveling by bus, but does that put them on a super tight schedule? Or are they simply not wanting to linger long? Do you think this is typical?

That is so not true about Martin Fry. The suit was made of silk shantung on Savile Row. It fits him beautifully, and he looks nice in bright colors. More importantly, it's a stage costume. I think it's entirely appropriate to wear something like that on stage. (If he'd adorned it with lots of gew gaws and wore lots of make up, then I would've thought it over the top.) I was scandalized by the chick from the Go Go's in the towel and mudpack-- I thought that looked hideous.

Martin looked wonderful. The suit worked well.
Jane wore that crap to please the crowd! What's the crime in recreating the cover of the (still) one and only #1 US album, written and played by all women?  I'm sure she's the last one to want to wear that outfit again!  WANTED: Small British lapdog. Must be house-broken, so as not to spread "freedom" all over the house.
