what is the best outta the cd and dvd of VBO THL? and how good is the dvd - worth putting in the extra money for??

bearing in mind i might end up getting a film instead

I bought a Brazilian edition of the DVD, its an NSTC-All Region release...but I found something strange on it (I never saw the original PAL release, so I dont know if this happens with it too...):

Sorry this is so vague a request, I've not seen it so can't comment, but I was asked to post this by a FoaF whose first HL purchase was the VBO a few weeks ago and he's so impressed he's going to see them play in Birmingham (or Wolves).

There were hopes that it would be on the UK edition for things couldn't be sorted in time (hence the shorter running time on CD1 that some were puzzled about).
